The Web analyst will support web analytics department in planning and implementing a broad variety of projects, as an individual contributor. This role will work closely with the Web Analytics Lead to implement web analytics standards of code development and maintenance for our web campaigns, pages, e-commerce and 3rd party integrations with partners such as SalesForce and Eloqua.
At the highest level this position is responsible for supporting and championing the analytic needs of our internal business functions by providing high quality web analytics implementations, analysis, and training for tools such as Omniture and ForeSee. This candidate will also be responsible for creating and maintaining analytics dashboards for the Customer Experience Lead Analyst as well as our business partners. The Web Analyst will also influence the user experience and design guidelines and standards.
The candidate will often need to work closely with our technology team to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements. The candidate will also be expected to partner with multiple business units to ensure that best practices in metrics and decision-making are being adhered to within our internal functions.
The Web Analyst will:
Evaluate business goals and objectives from multiple business teams and develop tracking/tagging strategies to allow individuals and teams to measure success
Consulting directly with our internal business functions on projects requiring web analytics, implementation and dashboard development
Work with teams to install, configure & use web analytics services.
Perform quality assurance tests on tracking implementations
Assist with tracking and improving the results of marketing campaigns.
Leverage automated dashboards within Excel and Omniture
Build, update and deliver weekly and monthly reports, dashboards and key performance reports using Excel and Omniture tools
Build automated Dashboards for various business stakeholders
Provide best practices consulting services
Assist in any training and knowledge sharing of web analytics for clients and the Customer Experience team
Drive insight from data to make suggestions concerning both the site experience and business performance.
Ensure online issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
Establish credibility throughout the organization by providing actionable analytic information and data
Experience and Qualifications:
BA or BS (quantitative coursework like mathematics, statistics, human factors and/or psychology a plus)
Google Analytics, and/or WebTrends experience or training a plus
Experience with web development and dynamic multilingual websites
Familiar with websites built on ASP.NET platform
Basic knowledge or hands-on experience working with aspx pages to update the client side code
Strong understanding of HTML and web protocols
Strong understanding of Document Object Model (DOM)
Intermediate-to-Advanced JavaScript skills
Comfortable presenting finding
Experience with web and ecommerce environments in B to C and B to B (a plus)
Expert at Excel
An understanding of SEM/PPC, SEO and online campaign strategies
