The Allscripts Upgrade Team is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to perform client upgrades, as well as identify, prioritize and find resolutions to reported problems. This individual will ensure that all phases of the client upgrades from a technical standpoint are monitored, logged, tracked and completed appropriately. The qualified candidate will upgrade the client test and production environments and assist Development in troubleshooting TouchWorks issues by providing accurate and detailed information about client issues. The candidate must be a people person with excellent and professional communication skills both in email and by phone and enjoy working in a team environment.
Upgrade client test and production servers
Copy databases for testing and training
Provide technical support and troubleshoot client performance issues
Work with Project Managers to identify and to resolve problems reported client issues in a timely manner to achieve a successful upgrade experience
Log detail and accurate activities for all work performed on client issues
Communicate daily with clients for status and/or updates of issues according to guidelines
Work closely with members of the upgrade team, development and other teams across the enterprise to upgrade our clients to the latest version of software across a diverse Healthcare client base
Working with client IT and Clinical staff to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve TouchWorks application issues
Working with 3rd party hardware and software vendors as necessary to assist clients in resolving difficult system problems
Providing off-hours coverage to clients on a rotating basis
Attend training classes as requested
Attend daily scrum meetings Job Requirements: Travel up to 50-65%; this position can be located in Burlington, VT, Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL!
Excellent organizational skills
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and manage several on going upgrades simultaneously
Solid understanding of the relationship between hardware, operating systems, and application software in a multi-tier environment
Knowledge and experience in client-server technology, Windows Server, MS SQL Server administration and database programming, Windows Client OS, Internet Information Server, TCP/IP networking concepts
Working knowledge of ASP, .Net, Java Scripts and HTML
Previous Level 1/Level 2 support desk experience
Microsoft IIS experience
