We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join the Nokia Messaging team. Nokia Messaging provides email, instant messaging and social networking services across the majority of the Nokia device portfolio. The Product Manager will be responsible for defining and prioritizing requirements for the many components of the Nokia Messaging gateway infrastructure and will play a lead role in working with other internal teams (devices, CARE, operations, sales) as well as customers and applicable regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with internal stakeholders to understand and define requirements, primarily focused on operational efficiency and regulatory compliance, but also focused on meeting local requirements in support of device sales.

* Work with R&D to plan releases of various components.
* Coordinate with local sales teams regarding operator and/or service provider requirements and configurations.

* Serve as Product Owner for applicable components of the Service

Our culture is founded on openness, collaboration and honesty, with colleagues who are brilliant in their field, resilient, and above all, strive for the best. One team, where everyone makes a difference and everyone is heard. We care. Even in tough times. We are driven by a better tomorrow, not just by past success. We make great products and services for millions of people, positively improving their daily lives. We are on a path where simplicity and "thinking big" can lead to great things.

Qualifications

* 8+ years of relevant experience working with large scale service solutions in a product manager or similar role
* Broad understanding and awareness of relevant technologies (database, messaging applications, networking).
* Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and application domains.
* Experience with regulatory compliance and/or working with law enforcement is a plus.
* Demonstrated experience working with software development teams in all phases of the software product lifecycle
* Experience as a product owner in an agile development environment
* Ability to apply business objectives, strategic insight, sound decision making and financial analysis to product requirements planning.
* Strong communicator who can listen to, teach and influence others with highly varying levels of knowledge of the subject area.
* Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
* Able to organize, prioritize and apply complex concepts to project tasks, and succeed in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
* Willingness to travel when needed (approximately 10%)
* BS degree or equivalent. Relevant experience is more important than particular field of study.
