Position Overview
Linear Technology Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic Product Design & Applications Engineer for our Burlington, VT location.
We develop a wide range of high-performance power, analog, and mixed-signal ICs and module products.
We compete in a wide range of markets including:
DC/DC Converters
High Resolution Data Conversion
Interface Products
Hot Swap Controllers
Isolation Products
Automotive Electronics
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Define new module products
Design and prototype analog module circuits in the lab
Simulate and verify circuit design using LTSpice
Component selection and layout of product PCBs using AutoCAD
Module / Multi-chip products involve chip and wire design
Evaluate product performance in the lab and analyze pre-production data
Perform thorough product evaluation from the customer/applications perspective
Application circuit design and debug, demo board design
Interface with test, product and packaging engineers to successfully bring new products from initial concept through release to production.
Find and fix complex circuit problems in the laboratory with LabVIEW automation
Create device datasheets and present products to sales/customers.
Assist in the support of customer applications with new and existing products
Required Skills
The ideal candidate must have the following key requirements for this position.
BSEE or MSEE
10+ years of experience in analog design
I.C. applications experience a plus
Strong technical background in analog electronics circuits and product definition
EDA tools, AutoCAD and PCB layout experience
Strong analytic skills, power system modeling, control loop design, signal conditioning and data acquisition design.
LabVIEW or embedded software development for data acquisition
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Good writing and communication skills
