Job Description

PBM Nutritionals, a division of the Perrigo Company, is the world s largest producer of private label infant formula. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Packaging Mechanic at our Georgia, VT facility. This schedule for this position will be 6:00PM - 2:12AM (Monday - Friday).

Job Summary:

Troubleshoot and diagnose packaging equipment and adjust or repair equipment in a timely manner. Skilled in mechanical repair, equipment set up, preventative maintenance, and equipment changeovers. Ability to follow written and oral instructions, properly complete documentation including daily time sheets, line changeover sheets, critical control point sheets, and equipment logbooks. Must be competent on operations of all machinery in the Packaging area. Must be able to maintain skills in maintenance and operations of all machines in Packaging.

Duties Include:

* Troubleshoot and repair all packaging line systems and equipment
* Lead changeovers on the lines according to schedule
* Perform preventative maintenance to ensure all packaging equipment remains in "as new" condition
* Provide accurate and timely documentation of work in the log books and verbally to co-workers during shift hand-offs.
* Other duties as assigned, including daily sanitation of department

Required Skills

* A High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
* Effective communication skills

Required Experience

Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing (or similar) role that requires mechanical setup and changeovers, running adjustments, troubleshooting and Tier 1 Preventative Maintenance procedures.
