Job Description

PBM Nutritionals, a division of the Perrigo Company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Process Maintenance Mechanic at our Georgia, VT facility. This is a 6:00pm 6:15am rotating shift position.

Job Summary:

Install and maintain Processing equipment/piping systems in the Manufacturing areas. Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance.

Responsibilities Include:

* Maintain all processing equipment and process piping systems in the manufacturing areas in a like new condition.
* Install new processing equipment in the manufacturing areas.
* Train junior employees.
* Participate in training/career development activities as assigned.
* Pass on work in progress to incoming Maintenance personnel.

Qualifications:

* Ability to prep and sanitary weld stainless steel piping systems to FDA standards.
* Ability to weld carbon steel piping and flat stock.
* Ability to weld out of position required
* Electrical License preferred
* Repair and rebuild: sanitary valves and their actuators, sanitary pumps, gear and belt driven assemblies and conveyors including belt & chain tensioning and alignment.
* Ability to properly lubricate process equipment.
* Ability to read and utilize equipment repair/rebuild manuals & drawings.
* Ability to properly utilize hand and power tools and rigging and lifting equipment.
* Ability to perform the skills listed above to nutritional plant standards without direct supervision.
* Ability to follow oral and written directions.
* General keyboarding/data acquisition skills.
