Jobing Description

Description: The Crew Coordinator is a paid staff person who helps lead a crew of volunteers. The Coordinator manages logistics to ensure smooth operation of the crew. Logistics include planning menus, organizing purchase of supplies (mostly food), oversight of base camp, being the contact for upcoming volunteers, and financial record keeping. The Coordinator will spend part of each week in the woods assisting with crew projects and part of each week in *town* preparing logistics. The volunteers each work for one to several weeks, are of diverse ages, and come from all over the United States and the world. The Coordinator*s main job is to make volunteers feel welcome and to see that each gets to help out as part of the crew. (Couples are welcome to apply for this and the Volunteer Crew Leader positions together.)

Qualifications: Applicants for Volunteer LTP Crew Coordinator should be good natured and happy to meet new people. Must be organized - and able to organize logistics so that volunteers can help with the work. Able to work independently as well as in close cooperation with Crew Leader and program supervisor. Experienced at camping. Able to plan hearty menus for 12 people for a week. Able to keep current on a simple ledger. Desire to learn (and teach!) trail building.
