Job: Internship (Finance/Economics)

Jobing Description

Scottrade, Inc. has a Branch Internship opportunity available in Burlington, VT. The main purpose of this position is to assist branches with daily operations while gaining valuable work experience in the brokerage industry. Candidates must have the ability to work an average of 15-30 hours and no more than 8 hours per day. Applicants must be:

1) currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and attending classes

2) have completed 50-70 hours of required coursework and have a balance of no fewer than 48 hours remaining towards their Bachelor s Degree (1-2 years of college remaining)

3) performing within the college s acceptable GPA level

Responsibilities:

* Service and maintain client accounts.
* Follow up on pending account transfers.
* Accept customer checks, stock certificates, and other paperwork.
* Check all new account information for accuracy before scanning.
* General administrative and operational duties.
* Interact with clients in-person and over the phone.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong interest in finance and the stock market.

Education and Experience

* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Currently enrolled as an undergraduate full time college student attending a local University with interests in business and the stock market.
