Opportunity Profile:
Responsible for the management of the Global Product Costing (GPC) initiative as it relates to MTI s processes and procedures. Performs job functions in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Duties Include, but not limited to:
* Know and comply with all applicable SOP Procedures. Know and comply with all applicable Accounting Department procedures. Assist with updating procedures, as required.
* Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate collection of all manufacturing cost data as requested by COE (Center of Excellence) for GPC process.Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate collection of all quality cost data as requested by COE for GPC process.
* Responsible for management of all GPC related system software and related. System management includes but is not limited to the following: attending training (off-site, on-site), data input, data verification and report analysis.
* Responsible for monthly verification of actual v std unit costs. Responsible for variance analysis as it relates to individual products and their components (direct material, direct labor & manufacturing overhead). Responsible for management reporting as it relates to GPC. Responsible for new product cost estimates. This will include interaction with Production, Materials Management, Senior Management and the COE.
* Responsible for creation of transfer pricing for annual budget process. This will include knowledge of the historical unit cost construction vs. the GPC model. Responsible for maintaining inter-dept allocations (financial reporting and GPC related). Prepare monthly cost analyses to explain differences in various cost components for assistance in the mthly forecast process.
* Act as a resource for non-financial personnel in all matters relating to GPC.
* Act as a subject matter expert for internal customers including; Marketing and Sales, Production, Purchasing and Accounting relating to GPC.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. Must possess a comprehensive understanding and application of general accounting principles, theories and concepts, and a thorough working knowledge of industry practices. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Must possess knowledge of SOP procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Cost Accounting policies and procedures. Must also possess an understanding of the Cost Accounting functions. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis.
