Works as a member of the RRHS Inpatient Coding Team to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of planning, organizing and monitoring of documentation, coding and billing practices.

Minimum Education

- Equivalent to an Associate ??s degree in medical information technology (with college level courses in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD-9-CM coding, and prospective payment) preferred.

- College level course in Anatomy and Physiology required.

Minimum Work Experience

- 3+ Years experience as Coder required.

- Recent health information, ER or hospital financial background.

Required Licenses/Certifications

- Coding Certification as required by position.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Demonstrated strong knowledge of basic computer skills.*

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments.

- Ability to facilitate workflow and education activities independently.

- Demonstrated strong knowledge of Medical Terminology.*
