Summary

In this role you will play a leadership role in National Life Group ??s life insurance product strategy; responsible for leading a small team in the design, pricing, filing and implementation of life insurance products. You will engage with the distribution channels in the marketing, recruiting and training efforts to promote sales of the life companies ?? product lines. This highly visible role offers excellent long-term growth potential.



Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the goal of achieving double digit growth in life insurance sales by leading the design, pricing and filing of new life insurance products

Establish a positive working relationship with actuarial and filing teams and those responsible for product distribution

Manage, train and mentor actuarial students

Build the skills of your team through meaningful projects, goals and development plans

Participate in product implementation teams

Perform Actuarial management and maintenance of the in-force block including monitoring and adjusting policy cost factors

Supervise, train and mentor actuarial students

Partner with the field in conducting presentations, soliciting feedback, field inquiries, conducting field conference calls, etc.

Requirements



Bachelor ??s Degree in related field

Minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience including relevant product development experience

Recent and well-rounded experience with all major life insurance product lines ?? experience with indexed universal life highly desirable

Experience with developing products for advanced sales concepts and/or a history of innovative product solutions

Ability to manage and lead an actuarial team

Performance oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and member of the American Academy of Actuaries

Must be able to willing to relocate to Company headquarters in Montpelier, Vermont

Must be able to pass a background check
